This website and blog is my new platform for sharing thoughts, information, and a candid opinion on everything related to agriculture, rural vs urban, country, nutrition- you name it. There is WAY too much misinformation floating around out there and I am shocked and appalled at the absolute crap I see everyday. Instead of ranting to my friends and colleagues, I’ve decided to be proactive and go public with my voice. I have dedicated this website to pass along some of the information that I find most compelling and relevant.
I am not an expert. (That’s my disclaimer) But I did grow up on a dairy farm in the country, and have stayed very closely connected to agriculture and food production through my career, volunteer work, friends and family. My network is made up of many talented and hardworking people who work in all sectors of agriculture.
How I Got Here
One too many conversations with some very misinformed individuals has really opened my eyes to the sad realization that the average person has zero connection to agriculture and has no real idea about how food is produced. People are becoming more and more removed from the rural way of life and have limited sources to seek out and provide credible, open and honest information.
I want to help change that.

Acres is my newest ‘passion project’ and will also feature a variety of other posts connecting to my rural roots and passion for all things country. I’m excited to begin this journey and look forward to stirring the pot.
